My advice;
Before choosing a contractor, ask for references. This is very simple and so VERY important. Good contractors have many references. Ask for several phone numbers and addresses. We provide at least 20 references with every estimate we send out. Follow through and call these people, ask to walk their properties to see the work firsthand. Their idea of great work might be different from yours.
I, Greg Dodd, have been in the masonry trade for over 20 years. I was Union trained in Sacramento, California. I moved to Southern California three days after the Northridge earthquake.
I have learned a wide variety of masonry installations over the years, very large block buildings, outdoor kitchens, fireplace remodels, stone and brick veneer, very high-end pre-cast concrete, concrete patios, sidewalks, pool decks.
Greg Dodd Masonry is located in Cypress, California; however, our fireplace faces, outdoor kitchens etc., are being built all over Southern Californian. Masonry repair is a large part of our business. We repair block walls damaged by auto collisions, tree roots, etc. We also repair chimneys. We repair work done by incompetent contractors.
